What is a font?

A font is a character set that can be selected to format your typing into a certain style, such as Times New Roman, Arial or Comic Sans. Our Math and Science fonts could be compared to Wingdings that provide images instead of letters when you type.

What programs are compatible with the fonts?

Virtually any program that allows you to choose a font. The fonts are loaded into your system's Fonts Folder, so you can use the in Word, Works, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and more.

What operating system do I need?

Our fonts are formatted to work on all Windows and Macintosh systems.

Can I share the fonts?

The Single User License allows you to place the fonts onto your own home computer as well as your school computer. The fonts should not be shared with anyone who does not have a license for use. However, you are certainly allowed to, and are encouraged to, share with your colleagues any materials that you create. A School SIte License allows installation on all school computers as well as your teachers' home computers. Write to us at sciencefonts@justusteachers.com for more information.

What about publishing and distributing?

The materials you create with our fonts are your property, and you are free to distribute them as you see fit. If our fonts are used in published materials, or any materials that are sold (including electronic media), we require an acknowledgement on the copyright page stating "A portion of the materials in this publication were created with 1, 2, 3 Science Fonts." There are no publishing fees.

Under NO circumstances is it permissable to re-sell the fonts, or allow a non-purchaser to use or manipulate the fonts in any fashion (including digital or online creation of materials).

I have an idea for a font. Can you make it?

It doesn't hurt to ask! Almost half of our 1, 2, 3 Math Fonts were created and added to the package because of teacher requests. Teacher requests will drive the growth of 1, 2, 3 Science Fonts, and your opinion DOES make a difference!!

The 1, 2, 3 Science Fonts package now contains 26 fonts covering a variety of fields, including...

Capacity - Gallons, quarts, pints and cups (labeled and unlabeled), pieces to assemble a gallon person, and everyday objects such as bottles, cans, and assorted containers.

Cylinders - Graduated cylinders in 10 milliliter and 100 milliliter increments. Fill levels can be customized with a second keystroke.

Earth Science - Common geographical features, including a peninsula, mesa, arch, valley, cross sections of the earth and a volcano, and more.

Food Chains - Images of a variety of creatures (bugs, fish, birds, animals) for use in the creation of food chains and food webs.

Life Cycles - Each life cycle is presented in several configurations: complete, with missing components, and each component presented alone. Includes cycles for bugs, fish, animals and people.

Machines - Both simple and complex, presented both as models and as real-life objects. Levers are shown with fulcrums in a variety of positions.

Matter - Several models and real-world images showing matters as solid, liquid, gas and plasma.

Morse Code - International Morse code with symbols on the lowercase keys and labeled symbols on the uppercase keys.

Rulers - Customary units divided into halves, fourths, eighths, and sixteenths, and metric units showing whole centimeters, with and without millimeters.

Scales - Analog and digital scales that are completely customizable, allowing a wide variety of measurement models. There is also a 3 beam balance with adjustable sliders that can be placed to show any mass.

Science Tools - A wide variety of common lab equipment images.

Testing Bubbles - A great tool to create customized multiple choice answer documents.

Thermometers - Customizable thermometer faces (Celsius & Fahrenheit) divided in increments of 10, 5, 2, and 1. The fill level can be placed virtually anywhere on each thermometer face.

Weather - Various weather images, including cloud types, hurricane and tornado categories, weather instruments, and the water cycle.

School Site Licenses are available for $300.00 each, while district licenses are calculated according to the size of the district. You may use our order form to purchase School Licenses, or contact us for a District Quote.

Fonts may be installed on ALL school/district computers, AND all teachers' HOME computers as well.

Compatibility

All fonts are True Type fonts, and are compatible with all versions of Windows, and Mac OSX and later. Converted fonts are also included for older Mac operating systems.
